Schroeder asks, "Would you say, 'If I Were King' or would you say, 'If I Was King'?"<br> <br> Charlie Brown replies, "I think you would properly say, 'If I Were King'..."<br> <br> He continues, "Of course if you really wanted to, you could say, 'If I Was King'..."<br> <br> He concludes, "But then if you were the kind who said, 'If I Was King', you'd probably never get to Be king!" Schroeder looks at the reader.<br> <br>
