Linus sits on the floor, cutting a sheet of paper in half.<br> <br> "What are you doing, Linus?" Charlie Brown asks, bending over to look. Linus lies on his stomach and writes on the a piece of paper. "I'm making my own set of flashcards," he explains.<br> <br> "These are just like the ones they use in school, and they're a great aid in learning to read.."<br> <br> Linus stands and holds up a card which reads, 'Loook'<br> <br> "I'll hold them up, Charlie Brown, and we'll see how good a reader you are...Ready?" They face each other. Linus holds a stack of cards.<br> <br> Linus holds up a card. "Loook," Charlie Brown reads. "Uh huh!"<br> <br> "Very good...Now try the next one.." Linus fumbles with the cards.<br> <br> "Taybul," he reads. "Good..and the next?" Linus holds up a card.<br> <br> "Kow." "Very good..now let's go a little faster.." Linus brandishes another card.<br> <br> "Paypur, dore, howse, welkum, nife, spune!" Charlie Brown leans over to read.<br> <br> "Excellent! Do you want to run through them again?" Linus asks. [<br> <br> "No, I think once is enough..." Charlie Brown says. <br> <br> "Awl thys reeding is harrd onn mi eyyes!" he adds as he walks away.<br> <br>
