Charlie Brown fastens a string to his kite.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown runs with his kite flying in the air behind him.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown yells.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown hangs from a tree tangled in kite string.<BR><BR> Lucy and Linus walk by. Lucy says, "It's a story I've been reading called, 'The Pit and the Pendulum' by Poe, and it's about this man see, who is a prisoner . . ."<BR><BR> Lucy continues, "He's tied to a table and this big pendulum keeps swinging back and forth above him, getting nearer and nearer . . ." Lucy swings Charlie Brown back and forth for emphasis.<BR><BR> Lucy and Linus walk away from Charlie Brown still hanging in the tree. Linus says, "It sounds like an exciting story . . . I'll have to read it . . ." Lucy says, "I think you'd enjoy it . . . I really do . . ."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown hangs from the tree and says, "That Edgar Allen Poe was a riot . . ."<BR><BR>
