Charlie Brown holds a kite string.<BR><BR> Suddenly the kites string goes slack and the kite plummets to the ground.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown screams "I can't stand it!"<BR><BR> Lucy watches as Charlie Brown pounds his fists on the ground and shouts, "I'll never be able to get that kite in the air! Never! Never! Never! Never!!! I can't do it! I can't do it!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown kicks the kite and says, "I don't want to see this kite again as long as I live!" Lucy says, "If you don't want it, Charlie Brown, may I take it for a friend of mine?"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown throws it at Lucy and says, "Take it! Take it! Get it out of my sight!!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown shouts, "If your friend can get it to fly, he's a genius!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown glowers.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown looks up into the air with surprise.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown runs over to find Snoopy lying on his doghouse flying Charlie Browns' discarded kite.<BR><BR>
I remember they adapted this strip into a bit in the 1969 film “A Boy Named Charlie Brown.”
