"Still waiting for the 'Great Pumpkin'?" Charlie Brown asks Linus, who is sitting in the pumpkin patch. It is dark. "Uh huh...where have you been, out for tricks or treats?" Linus asks.<BR><BR> "Yeah, I got a whole bag of junk...do you want an apple?" Charlie Brown holds one out to Linus. "Thank you..If the 'Great Pumpkin' comes, I'll put in a good word for you..." Linus says.<BR><BR> "'IF'?" Charlie Brown says. "I meant 'when'" Linus corrects.<BR><BR> "I'm doomed! One little slip like that can cause the 'Great Pumpkin' to pass you by!" Linus exclaims.<BR><BR>
That slip was a doozie.
