Was this the "introduction"of the expression,“I heard a certain kind of food caling me”?(used to mean that the Peanuts character in question was hungry, and was thinking about that kind of food, of course.)There was also that other Sunday strip, where Lucy has suddenly disappeared from the baseball game, Charlie Brown gives her hell for it, when he finds her inside the house, helping herself to a piece of cake,and that’s JUST what she says,too, as per her excuse, for leaving the game:“All of a sudden, Charlie Brown, I heard a piece of cake calling me!” Cute expression; I always loved it, when a Peanuts character would say that.
