That was one thing that always killed me,about the Peanuts strips; still does, actually—the way Schulz would draw them doing a flip, representing startledness, when being yelled at.

I need to save this one for the next time some tragedy strikes and some religious zealot blames it on society accepting homosexuality, or something like that.

Since the creation of the character, Lucy’s always been a nasty piece of work. But this, more than most anything else she’s done, is problematic. Lucy is selfish, bossy and overbearing. But this is one of the rare instances that depicts her as cruel. This is textbook blaming the victim.
