I was a child in 1969. I didn’t follow baseball. A fellow kid asked me who I thought would win the world series. I said the Mets. He was jaw dropped shocked and tried to get me to bet a quarter with him choosing the Orioles. I should’ve bet him, could have won a quarter. But then, you know how those “sure thing” betters are. I’m “betting” he wouldn’t have paid.
