Linus looks at a newspaper and approaches Charlie Brown. He says, "According to the paper, the riot was about war dogs . . ."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown looks at the paper. Linus says, "Apparently there's been some trouble about dogs being sent to Viet Nam, and then not getting back . . ."<BR><BR> Snoopy thinks, "All I know is, I went to the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm to make a speech . . . I got whomped with a dog dish, trapped in a riot, lost in the smoke . . ."<BR><BR> Snoopy rests on a stump and smiles. He continues to think, "And then I met 'Her'!" Charlie Brown drops the paper and says, "Good grief!"<BR><BR>
That was a real issue. Most if not all dogs trained in the war effort were simply abandoned instead of returning to the States.
