Charlie Brown is at bat, ready to swing.<BR><BR> STRIKE THREE! He misses.<BR><BR> He walks glumly, dragging his bat.<BR><BR> "Rats!" He says to Lucy, who sits on the bench.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown sits beside her and says, "I'll never be a big-league player! I just don't have it! All my life I've dreamed of playing in the big leagues, but I know I'll never make it!" Lucy looks at him.<BR><BR> Lucy turns to him and suggests, "You're thinking too far ahead, Charlie Brown... What you need to do is to set yourself more immediate goals..."<BR><BR> "Immediate goals?" Lucy throws open her arms, "Yes."<BR><BR> Lucy places her hand under her chin and says, "Start with this next inning when you go out to pitch.."<BR><BR> "See if you can walk out to the mnound without falling down!" Charlie Brown rolls his eyes.<BR><BR>
I know Charlie Brown probably thinks Lucy is mocking him, but in a way, she’s right.
