I had to look up Mr. Frick, since this is the 2nd or 3rd time he’s been mentioned. Werner Groebli was Mr. Frick and Hansruedi Mauch was Mr. Frack, a pair of Swiss ice skaters who joined the original Ice Follies in 1937 and they continued skating together until illness forced Mr. Frack to retire in 1953. Mr. Frick was forced to retire when an injury ended his career in 1980.
Mr. Frack passed away in 1979 and Mr. Frick in 2008.

I’m glad someone saved me the effort of looking up Mr Frick! Thanks!
Another historical things – Peppermint Patty’s practicing her “figures”, carving perfect circles, figure-eights and so on into the ice. That was still part of “figure skating” competition back then, but it had been reduced from 60% of the total score to 50% in 1968, 40% in 1973 and 30% in 1976. Compulsory figures were eventually dropped altogether in 1990.
