I never realized Beethoven never had a dog …maybe because he was deaf?

The whole “Schroeder must emulate Beethoven” gag is one of the stupidest things to exist in Peanuts. And they don’t even really try to execute it usually. I mean, Beethoven also didn’t play baseball or hockey, but Schroeder does those things without an issue.
