Charlie Brown stands atop the pitcher's mound. He looks at Lucy standing next to the mound and asks,"Now what are you doing?"<BR><BR> He rolls his eyes and grimaces as she replies,"I can see better here.'<BR><BR> He points to his left and says,"Get out there in right field, and try to catch the ball!"<BR><BR> He exclaims,"And I don't want to hear any excuses today!" He continues,"Don't try to tell me that the sun got in your eyes! Or the moon either! Or the clouds, or the smog or the crab grass!"<BR><BR> He concludes as she walks off,"I don't want to hear about the ground moving, or your glove bending, or your shoes coming loose! All I want to hear is that you caught the ball!"<BR><BR> He bends back to pitche. He pitches. He watches as the ball is hit over his head.<BR><BR> Lucy catches the ball in her glove. She walks over to the pitcher's mound and tosses the ball to Charlie Brown.<BR><BR> He looks at the reader and says,"Actually, I was kind of looking forward to a new excuse..."<BR><BR>
I think you mean “expecting”, not “looking forward to”, Charlie Brown.
