Snoopy dances along in a party hat thinking,"Boogie down!" He thinks,"Whoopie!!! Bring on the root beer! Bring on the dancing Beaglettes!"<BR><BR> He looks down at Woodstock, who is also wearing a party hat. He thinks,"No dancing Beaglettes? You're kidding!"<BR><BR> He spreads his hands and thinks,"How can you have a New Year's party without dancing Beaglettes?!"<BR><BR> He walks off angry and thinks,"What a stupid party! I'm going home!" He kicks off his hat and thinks,'No dancing Beaglettes....I can't believe it...."<BR><BR> Woodstock hops along with the moon overhead.<BR><BR> He sits next to Snoopy atop the doghouse and chirps. Snoopy thinks,"Apologize? No, you don't have to apologize."<BR><BR> He continues,"It wasn't your fault...I shouldn't always get so upset...don't apologize." He hugs Woodstock and thinks,"Happy New Year, old friend! Happy New Year!"<BR><BR> Woodstock walks along smiling. Snoopy grimaces, sighs, and thinks,"No dancing Beaglettes...*sigh*."<BR><BR>
It suddenly occurs to me that Schulz missed a golden opportunity back in the mid-sixties to do a storyline about Snoopy being in a rock band called “The Beagles”.
