Peppermint Patty holds up a piece of paper and says, "Look, Marcie, I wrote this great paper on George Washington, and all I got was a 'D-minus.'"<BR><BR> Marcie says, "The paper was supposed to have been on Washington, D.C.,sir."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty asks, "Who was that, his son? What does D.C. stand for, Donald Charles?"<BR><BR> Marcie covers her eyes. Peppermint Patty continues, "'Donald Charles Washington' . . . Funny I never heard of him . ."<BR><BR>
She reminds me of the 20-something woman who wanted to hear about the “four fathers” in an American history class I was in.
