Remember what my Aunt Marian used to say?"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown continues, "You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your relatives."<BR><BR> Snoopy thinks, "It's too bad . . With my influence, I could have got him a good job in the infantry . . ."<BR><BR>

Lucy and CB have both referred to an Aunt Marian. There may have been an early strip where Violet had an Aunt Marian as well. I always thought it was pretty funny to see that so often, since my mother’s name was Marian.
