Sally stands on a chair in the bathroom smiling at herself in the mirror. She continues to look at her reflection.<BR><BR> She stands behind Charlie Brown, who is sitting on the bean-bag and watching t.v. She says,"Guess what...I'm going on my first date!" She turns aside and smiles; she says,"Linus is taking me to the movies." Charlie Brown replies,"I don't believe it...."<BR><BR> She exclaims,"Well, he Is!" Charlie Brown says,"I'll bet you're paying for the tickets, aren't you?" She replies,"What's wrong with that? Anyway, we're going!"<BR><BR> She looks out the door at Linus standing at the bottom of the stairs. She says,"Linus! I'm all ready! Isn't this exciting?"<BR><BR> They walk down the lane and she sighs and says,"Just think...you and I going to the movies...." She stops, puts her hand to her mouth, and says,"Whoops! I just remembered something..."<BR><BR> They are standing at the curb as she continues,"I'm not allowed to cross the street." He exclaims,"You're what?!"<BR><BR> She holds out her hand and says,"Here, you take this money for the ticket....and here's some more for the popcorn....have a nice time..."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown walks up to her as she slumps in a chair and asks,"Well, how was your first date?" She replies,"I'll let you know as soon as he gets back."<BR><BR>
I thought the whole “I can’t cross the street” thing was going to be some ploy of Sally’s to get Linus to hold her hand.
