I bet it came but Lucy stole it. It’s the kind of thing I think Lucy would do to keep Linus away from his blanket. She hates it, right? But if you read a certain Peanuts book, you’ll find out that Linus gets a sort of sickness when he gives his blanket to Charlie Brown for luck at the big National Finals Spelling Bee. Linus even follows Chuck to New York to get it back., because he realizes that he cannot live without it. In the Christmas TV special, at the beginning after he uses it as a slingshot to knock over a can with a snowball, Lucy asks him what he’ll do with it when he grows up. HE promptly replies,“Maybe I’ll turn it into a sport coat.”
Fun fact: On the same day Postmaster General John A. Gronouski (the one Linus was writing to) took his post (Sept. 30, 1963), 5 made his debut in “Peanuts”. Gronouski supported the idea of the five-numbered zip code system. 5’s last name is based on the zip code of Schulz’s home in California. Almost three weeks later, in October 1963, 3 and 4, 5’s twin sisters, made their debut.

Writing a letter about lost mail reminds me of instructions on websites where it says that if you have online problems, go to their website.

In the last panel it looks like Linus has been tearing his hair out. Or else he’s prematurely balding.

I bet Lucy has hidden the blanket somewhere and is just doing this to torture Linus.

Poor Linus…
He is the character who I feel sorry for most of all. Second is Charlie Brown.

@Snoopy_Fan
Glad you enjoyed the Andy Capp. I remember you saying that your Dad used to read it in the paper.
I just love Andy & Flo and their bantering.
It’s 22:07pm here now… What time is it for you?
Take care!
