Behold the power of guilt.

A dew claw is kind of like a thumb.

If Snoopy had a thumb, he could feed himself.

Ugh, get down off the cross, Charlie Brown. We need the wood!

@Orinoco, I once had a cat with thumbs; he even taught himself how to use them for certain things, like picking food up or turning on a light (with the wheel-switch on the cord).

That was Charlie Brown as a child but he grew up to become the mayor of Miami.

Oh Charlie stop going on about your cut thumb – poor Snoopy is feeling awful. It’s not his fault. Don’t worry Snoopy, Charlie is a mardy arse.

I wish GoComics would show the date of the original publication.

if Charlie Brown lived in England…he would call it a " bloody " thumb…..

And this is why everyone shows a sense of arrogance to you, YOU ARE VICTIMIZING SNOOPY FOR SOMETHING HE DID NOT DO, YOU KEEP ON GOING ON AND ON AND YOU DON’T EVEN CARE, AS SNOOPY SAID, HE HAS NO THUMBS AND LIKE IN “Snoopy Come Home”, Snoopy leaves, GOOD GRIEF, HAVE YOU NO MERCY, CHARLIE BROWN!

It is very aggravting that Charlie Brown is purposely, cold-heartedly being such a @#$ about his thumb!!! Kind of make you really feel badthe last two weeks when the kids laughed at him when he did not finsh his essay.

Charlie Brown: You’re just being a baby and venting your rage on poor Snoopy. Snoopy’s your companion in life and when he’s not around anymore, you’ll think of the great times you had with him. That’s how I view the four dogs I had in my lifetime.

I usually sympathize with old Charlie, but not this time. I have cut my thumbs pretty badly a couple of times in my life and both times it was because I wasn’t paying attention to what I was doing. No one to blame but myself. The pain is there, Chuck, to warn you to pay closer attention next time!

In the first and second panel, it doesn’t even look like Charlie Brown’s talking.
