I didn’t know that Sopwith Camel’s had ejection seats.

I know it seems obvious now how it will turn out, but I wonder how big a deal this storyline was in 1966? Did people think Linus and Lucy were being written out of the strip?

Aww. I’m going to miss Linus and Lucy. I think I might’ve read this storyline before, and saw what happened, but I don’t remember.

Snoopy do you remember all those times you stole my blanket?

I’ve discovered that Snoopy imagines himself as a British pilot, as the actual Sopwith Camel biplanes were British aircraft used during World War 1. And no, they did not have ejection seats.

Agh! Don’t do that, Linus! That’s going to leave Snoopy freaked out for a while.

I guess I’m the oldest fan here coz I remember vividly this story arc… It was one of the best, Lucy and Linus leaving town created drama with a twist!

oh I have this arc also in the same book the birds were in and where Linus put a cough drop on Lucy’s ice cream cone…I hate to be a spoiler but the move was temporary
