He’s not a very convincing vulture, even to himself.

And how do you expect a dead animal to “come around,” Snoopy?

I live in South Texas now, with a lot of vultures. Mostly I see them circling and flying around. When they do perch, quite often it’s on the top of a telephone pole. Better vis, I suppose.

Vultures don’t kill their food. They prefer it already dead and disgusting. Snoopy does do a very good Vulture imitation.

My Yum-Yum also does an excellent vulture imitation from the tops of bookcases, the china cabinet, and my dresser..

Over the years, Snoopy thought to himself a ton of times, “Actually, real [whatevers] never do such-and-such.” I don’t think he ever once thought this about real WW I Flying Aces, however.

I wonder if they changed the wording to READY, STEADY, GO when this strip was published in England?
