What is it called in basketball? A shoot-off? In the “Peanuts” kids’ perspective, what’s also so exciting about it?
At least she actually kicked the ball, which is more than I can say for her big brother.
That’s further than Woodstock moved it when he kicked it…
At least it’s not the Charlie Brown/Lucy pulling away trick.
I have seen little boys kick their (loosely tied) shoes right off playing yard football. Depending on what the shoe hits it can get pretty exciting!
Funny, that’s what the NFL said before messing with the kickoff.
What’s so exciting? Ask your Big Brother — he’s Head-over-Heels about it.
Watch pretty much any NFL game, where most of the kickoffs either go out of the end zone or are downed for touchbacks, and you’ll probably ask the same question
Basketball – all you have to watch is the playoffs. Everything else is exhibition.
In the NBA, if all playoff games went 7 games there would be 135 games. The winning team has to win 60 playoff games to claim the titie.
For those of us who can kick far, it is.
I remember teeing off a golf ball with a similar outcome….more than once!
That’s what I ask every time my DH turns on a game!
