The last line in the third panel is one of very few times when someone said something in the strip that didn’t end in either a question mark or an exclamation point
With respect to FinnyGirl’s comment and Johnny Nash….“I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,I can see all obstacles in my wayGone are the dark clouds that had me blindIt’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)Sun-Shiny day..I think I can make it now, the pain is goneAll of the bad feelings have disappearedHere is the rainbow I’ve been prayin?forIt’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)Sun-Shiny day..Look all around, there’s nothin?but blue skiesLook straight ahead, nothin?but blue skies.I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,I can see all obstacles in my wayGone are the dark clouds that had me blindIt’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)Sun-Shiny day.”
