One of the really very best from Schulz. Perhaps if we say also “rare gem” to our children from time to time (provided is really sincere) many problems would disappear …
@Snoopy_FanI appreciated your support regarding me not getting that apprenticeship but being called in twice doesn’t mean anything. My first interview was not with the employer. It was with somebody at a Learning Centre which is where I would have to go whilst on the apprenticeship if I had got it. I was told I needed a qualification in IT. I have a Diploma but I was told that didn’t count. It had to be an exam qualification. If I had got that apprenticeship, I would have been in the Learning Centre working towards that exam qualification I needed.-I was told that I would be put forward for the real interview, which I was. However, I think they put everybody forward for the real interview. So I was nobody special. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t too upset about not getting the apprenticeship, I have my Work Placement and I’m used to getting rejects now.-You are correct when you said that I am gaining experience at my Work Placement. I really am enjoying it there and I find it more productive than working in the charity shop.-It was a pleasure to read your story about the train journey with your grandmother. I agree with you about the sound and the feel of being on a train. My journey to work takes about 47 minutes because I counted. I never bring a book with me on the train, I always look out of the windows and enjoy the scenery. My next train journey is on Tuesday. Looking forward to it!-Sorry for not letting you know that I would be not be commenting on GoComics. On a scale of 1-10… How much did you miss me? I missed you a lot. -I hope your week is as wonderful as you are!

Anyone who gives their dad a hand made card is a rare gem.

I don’t think Schulz ever mentions Peppermint Patty’s mom. Might be one of the first single parent comic strip families.
Anyway, Happy Father’s Day!
