Ah yes, reports. In those days, most of us just copied out the encyclopedia entry. Then in highschool and college we were told that wasn’t how it was done. Or some were. I knew a few who got to our small rural college and thought that a “term paper” was just copying out more stuff from more books.
It seems effort is rewarded and therefore if Sally would strive with such work perhaps she would get an ‘A’ on her report. A good lesson to learn in youth rather than adulthood I should think. This, of course, IF there is no program on TV tonight about George Washington. Who knows? Maybe the Great Pumpkin!
She will be sitting there for three months until Presidents Day when maybe, just maybe, PBS or the History Channel will make a passing reference to Washington.
When I watched a show about George Washington it said that he, Washington, received the Presidential Seal from President Cyrus Griffin. Who he? Was Washington not the first President?

Does today’s colorist think Sally wears a hat? What’s with the weird coloring of her front curls?

At this point she has about 11 more years to “hate” writing reports.

George Washington figures prominently in ‘Turn.’ Produced in 2014, so it is way too late for Sally.

My parents figured a good education included learning how to research something. We weren’t allowed to just use an encyclopedia.
