Patty is extremely easy to dislike.

compared to the other Patty? Violet? Lucy? She’s extremely insecure. About her looks and her intelligence. Outside of sports, she thinks she’s a zero with a big nose and split ends. And it wouldn’t hurt Chuck to say, “Yeah, I do like being with you.”

No, he simply can’t say NO.

Poor Charlie Brown. Always striving to do the right thing, always finding out that doing the right thing doesn’t always earn any reward or recognition, and always knowing that football will be yanked away. Yet he blunders along, always trying. If only there were more Charlie Browns in the world, doing the right thing just because it’s the right thing to do.
