The Golden Age of Sleeping is when you are young. You can drink caffienated drinks all day and still go to sleep at night. Then you hit 50 and have trouble dropping off, and staying asleep. I am living this.
I remember TV in the early 1950s: the Gold that was missing from the Golden Age was money, as the shows had no money to budget for sets, locations, guest stars or the regular cast, who often did live commercials for the sponsor’s products worked into the stories (remember Jack Benny working Lucky Strike’s slogan into the show?). Nostalgia makes the past look better than it was.

I also miss the golden age of: MTV (when it aired music videos 24/7), video arcade games (before the 1982-1983 crash), and comic books.
