Poor Woodstock got his foot stuck to French toast yesterday and today the toast is roasting his head! Something tells me this week is going to be let’s pick on poor Woodstock week!

The last time I read this one, I thought the marshmallow in the last panel became discolored

Is it a good thing to stand near a bird with a fever, Snoopy?

I’m not gonna tell a dog how to waste his time.

I don’t think a fever will help roast that marshmallow. If anything, it’ll take much longer.

Toasting a marshmallow over a person’s head with a non COVID fever might be perfect for a budget reboot of 2000’s reality competition show Fear Factor.

You certainly could over a Chinese bat’s head. Only you would have to use a much longer stick.

Both Linus and Snoopy have unconventional approaches to birds’ heads.

That high of a fever would cause immediate death!

Given rising egg prices due to last year’s double (spring and autumn) HPAI (bird flu) epidemics, this one is in poor taste even as a re-run.

I try cooking eggs on my head when I have hay fever. Doesn’t work Snoopy, and I imagine even less with birds.

If Woodstock has a fever, you should probably take him to a veterinarian.

In a book I had as a kid, the colorist made the marshmallow progressively more brown, as if it was working.

That must be quite a fever.
