This strip implies they live in the Pacific Time Zone, and in a place that doesn’t observe Daylight time (if we assume the strip date matches in the in-world date). I don’t think any such place exists in the United States. The closest analog would be the non-federal lands in Arizona, which do not observe DST, but are on Mountain Time, not Pacific Time.
