Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for September 12, 2013
Transcript:
Marigold: You have displayed me at show and tell before, to no avail. Phoebe: This time, I have a plan. You come in, and you turn down the shield of boringness. Marigold: The SHIELD of BORINGNESS? Phoebe: It's hard to tell whether you're worried, or just speaking with flourish.

For someone who wants everyone to admire the heck out of her own beauty, she sure does hide behind that shield a lot. ;)

Why is that the face of some one who just forgot some thing? Also Good plan, what can possibly go wrong? Also if by now any one has not seen the comic strip critic review of this strip, you need to see it. No shield of boringness there and I’ll never think of Up the same way again. I hope Dana saw the review too.

Doesn’t Phoebe realize that if marigold turns of the Shield of Boringness for her class, Marigold will never get a moment’s peace again, and very well may feel hunted and threatened.

Yeah, I don’t see Marigold going along with this. Maybe she’ll lower it just a little bit, so that she’s as impressive as, I dunno, a new bike.

Forgot to turn it back On or Off after the last time?

Now wouldn’t it be something if marigold realized she did not have her shield up all this time then thought she was indeed boring.

On second thought, if Marigold were captured by evil scientists she could “magic” her way out of it.
