Phoebe: Mom, Dad, I'm gonna go play outside. Dad: Aw! C'mon, stay inside and play video games. Phoebe: This better not be some kind of reverse psychology. Mom: Quiet! You're gonna make me lose a guy.
Comic strip parents often feel kind of dated. I think a lot of people base them on their own parents. And considering if you’re doing a comic strip you’re probably an adult yourself, you’re depicting parents of a different generation than a contemporary child would actually have. So instead I based Phoebe’s parents on my nerdy friends.
