I confess I wondered at the “Solid Snake” but I’m not that into video games. I wouldn’t even know of “Team Fortress” if it wasn’t for a coworker who showed me the “Meet the Engineer” video. Gotta love hearing a big ol Texan say “…purview of your conundrums of philosophy…”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNgNBsCI4EA
Sorry, no – Generators at the very best (full Auto-Start and Auto Transfer) require 15 to 30 seconds to come up to speed and take the load. Fine for refrigeration and elevators.
Critical things like computers you need a UPS to carry the load for that thirty seconds, then the generator takes it. Medical equipment like ventilators have built in batteries.
That’s the Super a Hard Challenge level, where the game system deliberately crashes the house’s voltage, testing your mettle and making you a better vict…er…player. In SOME countries, you pay extra for that! ;)

I only had one blackout in the entire time I lived in this apartment. I was at work, so I didn’t lose any save data or anything.

I’d sooner expect him to shout, “SNAKE? SNAKE?! SNAAAAAAAKE!!!”

Oh, I feel for him. I know how it is. In the middle of WoW — and you get a crash or something. XD … Ouch. O_o

I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t part of why my gaming machine is on a UPS.

I have never, ever played a game in the Metal Gear series, but I so want to start saying “for the love of Solid Snake” in real life.
