Anyway, got the recent book “Unicorn Famous” and Volume 14 “Unicorn Playlist” looks to be on the way in September.

I remember being astounded when I found out that most kids didn’t know the short paths that just happened to cross other people’s back yards… didn’t know the names of the dogs in those yards… didn’t know that there were paths across the undeveloped area between the two arms of the town. My parents were probably relieved when I decided that math was more interesting than just wandering around: I might almost have become an early Craig Childs.

I do this a lot. I go down a path I never use and it leads to some reason why I never use it, like the parkway tole booth or a pond or a U turn.

Two roads diverged in a wood…and I took the one I’d almost forgotten.

And when you come to a fork in the road, take the fork!

It’s not THE unknown so much as AN unknown.
