Today’s “scientific fact” (knowledge) is tomorrow’s debunked myth. What science tells us we “know” is often shown to be inaccurate later on.
Science is also limited in what it can properly be applied to. For example, science cannot prove that Abraham Lincoln existed, nor can it prove what he said or what he did. These things are in the realm of History, not Science. Similarly, science cannot prove that which belongs to the realm of testimony, such as in a court of law.
Real scientists recognize the limitations of science. On the other hand, worshipers of “Scientism”, as you could call it– science exalted beyond what it is capable of doing– dogmatically attack anyone who places their faith in anything besides science.
