One of the life lessons I’ve been giving my teenage sons is how to shop with a woman. Topics include what to do when standing outside the fitting room in the women’s department, what to say when she asks if it makes her look fat, how to sound pleasant even after an hour of shopping….
At first, they resisted, but they have come to see the inevitability of it. Cell phones with games (or iPod Touches) help.

It isn’t that women just shop for pleasure. They also shop for the price best possible price - plus, they also want to see what else is out there.

Shopping is sometimes right up there with doing a home improvement project together- the less the better.
