I thought a friend of mine had brought the TV remote to church with her…nope, it was her cordless landline phone. She said the signal would reach her and her husband refuses to answer the phone anyway, whether he’s home alone or not.
I find it annoying that people forget to silence their phones in church anyway, but taking your landline with you?
I am a chemistry teacher and one day in class I reached in my bag to take out my graphing calculator to solve a problem. My students laughed when I held the TV remote in my hand!
My over 60 sister was complaining that her cell phone never rang while her daughter was looking at it. It suddenly burst into a song, (her ringtone) and honest-to-God, she blurted out, What IS THAT?

Yeah …the running gag here in Pickles is the phone or the
garage remote causing the neighbors garage doors to
go up and down.Recently on the news is that some city
on the east coast is having one neighborhoods garage doors
mysteriously go up and down..Come to find out that there
is a Navy base nearby..Bothers me that the Navy has to use
the same frequency’s as a garage door opener?
