Well Earl you’re still lucky because your Daughter won’t be able to afford to live to 50 and I think everything will go to hell by the time your grandson reaches 30.
Oh, we could afford to live that long. I simply have no interest in doing so. I’m 72, and would dearly love to go Home before I’m 75. My kids and grandkids are grown, the greats are up and around, and I’m tired, dagnabit.
Wow those are some downer comments…wanting to die by 75???? hope your families don’t know this. how about taking from your life experiences and helping other people that didn’t have the opportunities you have!!
Mark Twain said,“there’s lies, there’s damnable lies. And there’s statistic’s.” It’s the statistician’s fault then. Even if they do have an M.D. after their name. The one’s charging you and your loved ones. Through the nose.
I can’t remember to whom to attribute with this quote, but it’s applicable:“A man is not rich in proportion to the things he has, but in the things he can do without.”

That’s okay. I’m never going to be able to afford to retire.

I always said I’d have to die two or three years after I retire because I started saving too late.
