A few years ago, my older brother attended a Christmas party with his University of Utah chums (he’s now attending U. of Iowa after graduating from UU) where everyone was wearing ugly sweaters. When he posted his on Facebook, it was just a sweatshirt with [John] Calvin and [Thomas] Hobbes on it.

Plenty of ugly gifts I’d be glad to get. Like twenty-dollar bills. That Andrew Jackson makes your eyes hurt!

The sweater is a lot nicer than Opal’s dress.

Does Nelson have a Dad ? I do not recall.

There’s only one place those things are suitable for and that’s where the ugly Christmas sweater party is being held. The closest thing I’ll wear to a Christmas sweater is a red flannel shirt with a liitle white in it.

Biologically speaking.

I miss my Mom, I would wear it, with no problem. Miss you Mom.

@Emily – same here. In fact, one year my mom did give me an ugh-lee Christmas tree sweater she’d found at the Rummage Sale. I actually added more decorations. Too bad I no longer have it, now that “ugly is in.”
