It’s really kind of a wonderful time of life, when you don’t give a flip about what strangers think of you. By then, your family has already given up.

Daddy knows best… for his hair.

That’s Earl for you. He doesn’t have a hair in the world.

My late dad used to do that too. When asked about it, he simply replied, “Why bother? Been washing my hair with soap since I was a kid.”

It won’t stop hair from falling out, but a shampoo/conditioner mix will slow it down.

Unfortunately, there are people out there who think the same way about the clothes they wear.

Why not, as long as he is clean why should he care if his fringe is silky?

I’m with Earl on this one. At my age, it’s not likely that I’m going to meet some “hottie” that will reject me because of dry hair (or non-fashionable clothing for that matter).

what little there is of it

Years ago I used to read Consumer Reports, and the periodically tested leading shampoos against dish detergents, and found that the dish detergents were much more effective, and much less expensive.

Getting stumped by Earl would be like getting stumped by Ted Baxter.

Rendering my daughter speechless is one of life’s little pleasures.

Conditioner! (snicker!)

…Unless you wear your hair like Fabio, not necessary.

And plain soap works perfectly fine.

I have a professional hairdryer which I love. I’ve only recently started using a hairdryer again. As for washing my hair, I just use shampoo.
