Pardon my stupidity, but why would the cheese grater be in the living room and on the couch.

At least he wasn’t sitting on Roscoe.

He was trying to make his butt grater again!

I think sitting on a book might be ok but a cheese grater might be uncomfortable to say the least! His butt would look like a cribbage board!

maybe Earl was eating spaghetti while watching tv and had the cheese grater to grate some parmesen cheese to put on top.
