    For $8.00 you find it, with Dad …ah, no cost…but you do get lost.

    And that’s what me and the family use to get to Atlanta. Six years later (today), we now have a GPS.

    I’ll take Map-Quest for free anyday over a $200 electic mother-in-law.

    It sounds like they’re somewhere near Purgatory, headed toward old route 666. The mountains are beautiful, there.

    I remember Durango and Cortez, Colorado, as mentioned by the mother plugger! I used to be there for a while as a Mormon missionary in 2003-2005!

    Flagged it. My wife watches a map on a long trip. Never sees the landscape.

    Sometimes you can get road maps for free at rest stops on the interstates. Especially when you first cross into another state.

    When I was a young-un we boys would have maps in the back seat to follow along where we were. We never lost our love for travel and exploring.

    @comixavier.

    What would your mission president say if he heard you using language like “mother plugger”?

    :P

    But the thing is, those maps are manufactured by sadistic origami experts and you will never get the sucker back the size it was before you unfolded it. We now have these nice road map books, in LARGE PRINT, perfect! But you still need a navigator.
