Every liter of used oil that gets into the storm drains can contaminate 100,000 liter’s of fresh water. So only an IGNORANT person would not dispose of used oil properly..
Gweedo: in California you cannot use waste oil for that. The Department of Toxic Substance Control considers waste oil a Hazardous Waste, and as such it cannot be recycled or processed by anything but a Licensed Toxic Waste Storage and Disposal Facility.
You can pay BIG fines for breaking the DTSC regulations.
Hey EXXON-Listen up!! And an oil-spill
by a plugger is an accident!!
I.E.—-SPILL,ooops,ya know?!?!
I think it’s cute and sooo true. It can happen to anyone. I can change my own
oil,spark plugs,distributor…etc. (I watched
and helped my Step- Father all my life!) Also, when I got my licence,he told me to change the tire on our car-I laughed like heck!!!-Been doin’ it for a while.
At 16,I went to a wedding w/2 sisters,well
we had a flat on a volvo-(hey-NOT my car!!)-They had no idea that the spare was under the hood w/an accordian jack. They
were twins and at 27,couldn’t change a tire!! Needless to say,They $h/+,that a 16yr.
old could do it!! OMG ppl-learn to change
a tire on your car-at the VERY least!!
I always take my oil to a proper disposal
place tedcoop!!

Right, and it’s not an ignorant person who drains oil into a storm drain – it’s an utter @$$hole.
Pluggers either follow Gweedo’s suggestion, or take the oil for proper disposal.
