You know, a lot of that fat and cholesterol used to be worked off by heavy lifting and doing manual labor. But these days way too many people get their only exercise by jumping to conclusions and flying off the handle, and obesity has become a national problem. It’s not the food folks, it’s the lack of exercise. Shortly after WWII, a medicala study into why longshoremen, as a group, had substantially lower rates of heart attacks and cardiac disease than the general population. It was found that all the heavy lifting and pushing they did both lowered bad cholesterol, and helped maintain good cholesterol. Since most piers and wharves these days are automated, the benefit of that work has predictably lessened.
OBXParrotHead, would that be Richmond, VA? That’s the only Extra Billy’s I could find. Too bad it’s so far away from where I live. Sounds like my kind of place. And napkins? A lot of places now just put a roll of paper towels on each table which works for me.

As La Rochefoucauld observed, “humility is the worst form of conceit.”

I like the props given to Extra Billy’s BBQ. Actual BBQ restaurant in Brookins hometown.

Instead of stars, maybe rated by the belt size of their clientele? Hope they have one of those de-fib machines in a box on the wall.

Don’t knock it!
La Rochefoucauld never had to choose between McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, and Wendy’s!

And don’t forget to have an ambulance or two standing by for the heart attacks that will be following this artery clogging meal!
