    Idiots (both the submitter and the cartoonist who didn’t catch this) - the phrase is Raising Cain, and it’s a biblical reference and has absolutely nothing to do with agriculture.

    medinamn - According to Webster - Poetic license is “license or liberty, esp. as taken by a poet or other writer, in deviating from conventional form, logic, fact, etc., to produce a desired effect.” Seems to me like it does fit this usage.
