Rodney, slopok: I understand. It isn’t the arms, because I can still reach 7th position on my trombone. I can only get socks on by standing with the pertinent foot on a cedar chest.
That’s the important thing about stretching at least a few times a week… keeps you mobile much longer. ;-) OTOH, if it’s too late, my step dad has a plastic sled thing that helps him put his socks on as he can’t bend down far enough. You put the sock around the outside of the sled (which is attached to a rope), drop it on the floor (while holding the rope), put your foot in it, and pull the sled towards you with the rope. It works quite well for him and it’s very simplistic. LOL!
Just so everyone knows, LivingXL.com has many items that make getting socks and shoes on easier when you’re working around an extra basketball, or just have trouble bending over. I believe that Pluggers stick together and help each other when we can. If you tie my shoes, I’ll tie yours.

ain’t it the truth!? @slopok…could be shorter arms as well, that would explain why my boxers keep getting higher and higher, as well!!

My shoes tie, but they’re loose enough to slide into.

Wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t for the basketball that has taken up residence above my belt.
