Had mine last year ! It was great fun ! Got to see a lot of classmates that I hadn’t seen since we graduated. Also, missed about 30 that we have lost along the way. Some, of them not there, affected me deeply, more deeply than I had admitted to myself .
whew… 62 coming up… wotta great class… very little of the “class warfare” so prevalent in movies and tv shows… we all each other even more today than in times past, believe it or not… my wife’s class… not so great…
Hard to believe…in 5 years it’ll be 50!!…I can’t wait to see how old everybody has gotten!!! (I know I have….my senior portrait makes me look like I was 12 years old!!)
Looking forward to 55th, next week! It’s always great to share a day with those with whom we shared those rites of passage, and remember together those who didn’t make it this far.
Does anyone else think the name badges should have your Sr picture on it? It sure would make it easier! Even when I have the name it’s hard. Gimme something I can recognize so I can fit the puzzle pieces of my past together.
Our HS class has one almost every 5 years, and our last was in 2012. I believe it was the 2007 reunion I brought my senior yearbook with and left it on one of the tables as I wandered around renewing old friendships. After the party was over, I returned the book to its place on the bookshelf.A couple of years later, I opened the book again, to look up a classmate who just passed away. As I was looking over the senior class photos, I noticed there were little crosses next to a few names. I realized all the names with crosses had passed away since graduation.I have no idea who made the marks in my yearbook; but I am grateful for the consideration. Since then I always update the book when a classmate dies.
At my 60th HS get-together, the girls were less bashful about showing their scars and zippers than they did back when they were 16. Ah, progress.. Ah, decrepitude…Ah, NUTS !!

I went to my husband’s 50th with him a few years ago. He couldn’t figure out how he could have gone to school with all those old people.
