The only advantage of myopia is that you can read without glasses at any age.
Especially essential after cataract surgery. I can see but it is somewhat annoying to wear 2 pairs.

After cataract surgery six years ago…
My Dad used to turn his upside down. Weird, but worked for small parts when fixing the car.
Contacts – one distance lens (mostly for astigmatism) and one close-up lens.Works for now, but as far-sighted as I am, they don’t make close-up contacts any stronger. Eventually, I will need reading glasses.
It all evens out somehow.
