As much as I watch WofF, I don’t recall an episode where Sajak landed on “Bankrupt.” (Boy, he and Vanna White sure have been on the show, like, forever!)
They do, actually, have him respin and edit out the first one. When they first started doing the final spin (years ago), he would occasionally land on a bankrupt and respin, but I guess they felt that was taking too much air time.
It happened a lot in the Chuck Woolery era, especially when the high value on the wheel was right next to a Bankrupt. While Woolery would aim for the high number, Sajak does not, as he feels that it’s not fair to the player who is ahead.

I watch every night to see if I’ve won $5,000 – that never happens either.

He never (or rarely) lands on the $5000 space anymore either. I think his arm is getting weak.

I used to watch that game show every night. But, like a lot of shows, I just got tired of it.

I think Pat Sajak was originally from Washington, DC since he’s an expert on spin…
