If it’s an older car, what’s the problem? Older cars were built with pride, built to last, and were FAR EASIER to maintain (because of their lack of complex technology) than the newer ones.

I only had one of those and it was the only car I was happy to see reduced to crushed metal.

I am old enough to remember when “crushed velour” interiors were The Thing to have in a car… better than the standard vinyl seats (even with the embossed patterns they had)…

yeah!! plus they were bigger!!!

I would not mind having a Pontiac G8 with a v8 and a manual transmission.

My first car was a ‘51 Pontiac, a straight eight engine with low horsepower, but torque to push start big trucks (as my dad proved). Currently have two Lotus Elans in the garage, one torn down to rebuild, the other a driver. Old cars do require more “routine maintenance” , but at least you don’t have to be an electrical engineer, computer specialist, AND contortionist, to work on ‘em. (With thousands of $$ “test equipment.)
