His tongue digs into the carpet fibers and retrieves the nugget, along with a smorgasbord of side dishes: focaccia crumb, cat hair, earwig leg, shred of fortune-cookie fortune, fake Christmas tree needle, tiny time-pill from inside a "Contac C". The meal is paired excellently with dog-bowl water.
